Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
1. What this covers
This policy explains what personal information Dinkday handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to club organizers, players who register for a tournament, and people who view a tournament's public page.
2. What we collect
- Organizers: club name, your name, email address and city or region.
- Tournament information: tournament name and logo, divisions, players' names, pairs, schedules, scores and results, and the names and PINs of umpires.
- Registration: the name and contact details a player gives, the divisions and partner they choose, and a payment screenshot if the organizer asks for one.
- On your device: small bits of saved data, such as which player you follow on a tournament page and your light or dark display choice.
3. How we use it
- To plan and run the tournament: build schedules and brackets, show live scores and let organizers contact players.
- To let organizers check and approve registrations and payments.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and improve it.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Who can see it
- The public can see a tournament's schedule, brackets, results, announcements and rules. This includes players' names and scores. Contact details and payment screenshots are not shown publicly.
- The organizer sees registrations, contact details and payment screenshots for their own tournament.
- Service providers that host and run Dinkday may process data for us, only to provide the service.
5. Players under 18
If a player is under 18, a parent or guardian should register them or agree for them. Organizers are responsible for getting that consent.
6. How long we keep it
We keep tournament information while the club's account is active, so organizers can look back at past events. Organizers can delete a tournament, and you can ask us to delete your club's data.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. For information held by a tournament organizer, such as your registration, please ask the organizer first. Contact us at hello@dinkday.app, and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online service is completely secure. Please keep your sign-in details and umpire PINs private.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new date at the top.
